GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CROATIA

Visa requirements for Croatia

You will be required to present a valid ID (only for citizens from some neighbouring countries!) or passport when entering the country or at other instances within the country.
A valid Visa is necessary when coming from certain countries outside Europe and you are advised to check well in advance with a Croatian embassy or consulate in your home country. Also check the website of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/

Letter or invitation

An official letter of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries (e.g., visa applications) can be sent upon request. Invitation letters can only be issued for people who:

  • have registered
  • submitted an abstract that was not rejected
  • paid the registration fee (complete refunding in case the visa application should fail, except bank cost

It must be clearly understood that such letters do not cover any fees or other financial support.
